July 15 last date to apply for short-term courses in Savitribai Phule Pune University

PUNE: Students wanting to take up certificate or diploma courses at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) can make online applications till July 15 after which the entrance examination will be conducted. Students can pay the application fees and submit documents online.

The admissions' cell has already begun the process for short-term courses offered by various departments, registrar Prafulla Pawar said. The respective departments will conduct the entrance exam.

Many short term and diploma courses have the eligibility criteria as Std X and XII and the results of both exams for state board students have been announced and students must take the benefit of these courses, Pawar said.

"Students who have enrolled for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at SPPU can also sign up for the short-term courses simultaneously. These are employment driven courses so there is a good demand for them," Pawar added.

The entrance test will be held from July 20 onwards. At the time of application, students will have to upload their documents for eligibility and other certificates. The students who fulfill the documents criteria will take the entrance exam.

The merit list will be announced based on the marks scored in the entrance exam. If a particular course does not receive enough applications as per the intake, then all applicants will be given admission if they satisfy the eligibility criteria. Students can fill the applications on https://campus.unipune.ac.in
