Randle, who had been rehabbing from a shoulder injury, was advised by doctors that playing further this season would pose a risk due to continued instability in his shoulder. He is expected to return for the 2024-25 season in October.
Randle had an impressive season, averaging 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game in 46 appearances. Despite missing the new 65-game eligibility requirement for All-NBA team consideration, Randle earned his second consecutive All-Star nod, showcasing his importance to the Knicks.
