Julie Chrisley admitted "living in fear" before her combined 19-year jail sentence alongside husband Todd for fraud and tax evasion.
Best known for their Chrisley Knows Best TV show, the pair were found guilty of conspiracy to defraud banks out of more than 30 million dollars in fraudulent loans.
They were also found guilty of tax crimes, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
They have now been sentenced in federal court, with Todd, 54, getting 12 years in jail and Julie, 49, getting seven years. Both were sentenced to several months of probation.
Now a podcast clip recorded prior to their sentencing seems to show how Julie was feeling in the run up to the couple's conviction.
In an episode of their Christianity podcast, Chrisley Confessions, Julie admits the couple were "living through a nightmare".
She said: "I know in my heart that I am a Christian, I believe in God, I believe that God can work miracles, I believe that He will take care of my family, that if I died today, I know where I'm going.
"But I still have this fear. Everyone knows that we're living through a nightmare...I have been focused on not living in fear."
Reflecting on her life with Todd, she added: "I'm grateful that our relationship has grown instead of falling apart. When people go through traumatic events, a lot of times they don't make it.
"A lot of times the relationship falls apart because everything is stressful. There's way added pressures, and people don't make it."
Julie was further found guilty of wire fraud and obstruction of justice. The TV double act were accused of submitting false documents to request bank loans.
They allegedly used a production company to hide income from the IRS, all while 'flaunting their lavish lifestyle on TV'.
"The Chrisleys have built an empire based on the lie that their wealth came from dedication and hard work," prosecutors wrote, as reported by NBC.
"The jury’s unanimous verdict sets the record straight: Todd and Julie Chrisley are career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors, and evading taxes at every corner."
Lawyers for Julie asked that she be given a lesser sentence with a "combination of probation, restitution and community service" in order for her to still be able to care for her children and her mum, the New York Times reported.
