Jules Kounde has arrived unannounced at Sevilla 's pre-season camp despite edging ever closer to a Chelsea transfer.
The centre-half has long been linked with a switch to the Blues and, as a result, was omitted by his current employers as they prepare for the forthcoming LaLiga season. A fee has been agreed between the two clubs, as have personal terms between the Blues and the player.
Kounde is expected to move to Stamford Bridge but believes he should remain 'professional' whilst he is still on Sevilla's books. As a result, he joined his teammates at their training base in Portugal and surprised them in the process, given they expect him to leave for pastures new.
