Judy Murray has praised the revamp of rundown public tennis courts in East Kilbride as "so important" for attracting new audiences to the game.
Following in the footsteps of her famous son, Sir Andy Murray - who publicly slammed the state of the clay courts at Whitemoss on Twitter - the tennis coach highlighted the reopening of the courts on her social media.
Re-Tweeting the East Kilbride News story Judy Murray OBE commented: "Great to see these public courts in East Kilbride regenerated and opened for the summer", adding, "Fabulous. Love it. Public courts so important for attracting new audiences to tennis."

After being left to rot for years and shamed by tennis superstar Sir Andy Murray, the courts at John Wright Sports Centre have been revamped and are now open for the school holidays.
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) have resurfaced and re-lined the dilapidated clay courts with new nets and posts.
Lanarkshire Live previously told how three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray re-Tweeted a post from a disgruntled local and branded the courts a “shambles” on his Twitter page.
That prompted calls from the public and politicians for something to be done.
It is hoped more money will be ploughed into the venue after Tennis Scotland carry out a scoping exercise for potential future investment.
SLC submitted a Park Renovation Fund Bid to Tennis Scotland at the start of the year with the aim of improving Whitemoss Tennis Courts.
The bid was unsuccessful as funding criteria stipulates that tennis courts need to be located within a ‘park’ to qualify.
After further discussions with Tennis Scotland last month, they confirmed there could potentially still be scope to fund additional applications within their budget.
Kay Morrison, general manager at SLLC, thanked colleagues in South Lanarkshire Council’s land service team for their hard work in refurbishing the facility.
She said: “After the extensive refurbishment it will be great to see local residents once again enjoying a game of tennis and hopefully getting fitter and healthier whilst improving their game.”
