During a recent court proceeding, Trump attorney Todd Blanche made statements regarding the negotiation of a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) and associated payments. The judge presiding over the case, Juan Merchan, subsequently called the lawyers involved to the bench for further discussion.
It was revealed that the District Attorney's office had raised objections to certain statements made by Blanche. Specifically, when Blanche suggested that Stormy Daniels' allegations were akin to an attempt to extort President Trump, Judge Merchan sustained the objection.
Blanche defended the legality of entering into an NDA, stating that there is nothing inherently illegal about such agreements. Despite the objection sustained by Judge Merchan regarding Blanche's comments on the lawyers involved, the Trump attorney persisted in his assertions.
