Mass shooter who killed five people at age 15 is jailed for life

A judge has sentenced an 18-year-old to life in prison without parole for killing five people in a mass shooting.

Austin David Thompson was 15 when he went on a rampage on Oct. 13, 2022. The attack started at his Raleigh home, where he shot and repeatedly stabbed his 16-year-old brother, James.
