A teenager's brutal killer has got away with murder and "justice has not been done", a court heard, as his friend was jailed for luring him to the scene of his death.
Kieran Williams, 18, was savagely stabbed more than 20 times then dumped in a makeshift grave at a secluded spot near the River Wear, in Sunderland. His close friend, Louis Hackett and Ben Cook were cleared of murdering him but Hackett was convicted of manslaughter.
However, in a dramatic twist, a judge said the "real perpetrator or perpetrators" of the murder have not been caught and he said he was sure it was not Hackett or Cook who had killed him or tried to set his body alight.
