A federal judge in Washington, D.C., has ruled that President Trump’s attempt to rename the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is illegal.
On Friday, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper determined that the institution, which honors the late president, must revert to its original name. According to Politico, the court order also blocks the planned two-year closure, set to begin in July, for large-scale renovations.
