British actor Jude Law said he had to delay receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to grieve the death of his mother – who he acknowledged in his speech.

The Holiday and The Talented Mr Ripley star appeared overcome with emotion as he expressed admiration for his family after accepting the honour in Los Angeles on Thursday.
