Jude Bellingham gives Arsenal star Bukayo Saka flattering Lionel Messi comparison as England win

Bukayo Saka proved his worth to England in the Three Lions' 3-3 draw against Germany in the Nations League on Monday evening. The Arsenal star made a game-changing impact, coming off the bench in the 66th minute when the Three Lions were 2-0 down, and helping them go 3-2 up just 12 minutes later.

Gareth Southgate reaped the rewards for playing Saka in his preferred position. The 21-year-old operated at right-wing and provided the assist for Mason Mount's equalising goal, before nearly grabbing a goal for himself, only to be denied by Germany goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

It was a huge contrast in performance for Saka, who played at left wing-back in the 1-0 defeat to Italy on Friday - a position he has little experience of playing in. He received praise from the likes of Joe Cole and Jermaine Defoe after his impressive display against Germany.

However, the biggest compliment Saka received was from one of his Three Lions team-mates. Midfielder Jude Bellingham, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea in past transfer windows, commented on Saka's Instagram post 'Leo', seemingly nicknaming the Arsenal winger after Lionel Messi.

His Gunners and England team-mate Aaron Ramsdale also commented 'Starboy', with Jack Grealish and Reece James also among the players to praise Saka. After a bright display in his favoured role, and the praise he received from pundits and team-mates, Saka has given Southgate food for thought, and he is surely set to play an integral role for the Three Lions in Qatar.
