This year the bank holiday weekend falls at the end of the week as the nation commemorates 70 years since the Queen first took to the throne.
With dozens of street parties happening across the region, there is sure to be a little extra clean up after this week's celebrations - and it's good news for residents in the Bristol region wondering when to leave their bins out.
Bristol City Council's partner, Bristol Waste, said collections on Thursday and Friday would be unaffected by the bank holiday. Residents can also use the council's online booking system to book a slot at one of the recycling centres.

On Twitter, Bristol Waste said: "Our waste recycling crews will be working on bank holiday Thursday and Friday to collect your bins and boxes as usual. The recycling centres will also be open. We hope you all enjoy the long weekend in celebration of the Queen's platinum jubilee!"
Bristol Waste has also issued advice on how to make your Jubilee weekend more sustainable, such as bringing reusable plates and cutlery. It also reminded people that compostable products should not be recycled and should be composted at home or put in your general waste.
South Gloucestershire Council has also said on it Twitter page that bin and recycling collections would go ahead as normal this week. "Waste and recycling collections are taking place as normal on Thurs 2 & Fri 3 June, so put your containers out by 7am on your normal day."
It added that its Sort It reuccling centres are also open as normal between 8.30pm and 4.30pm but are likely to be busy. Fortunately, residents in North Somerset will also be unaffected by the bank holiday dates this week.
North Somerset Council advises: "Put your bins out on the edge of your property the night before or by 6.30am. We collect on bank holidays so you need to put your bins out on your normal collection day. The only exception is the Christmas and New Year period, when you need to check your calendar for your revised collection dates."
