Jubilee artist left 'unable to pay mortgage' after Nationwide freezes bank accounts

Nationwide Mary Anne Queen Elizabeth II

An artist commissioned to work for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee says she struggled to pay her mortgage and work after Nationwide froze all her bank accounts.

Award-winning professional artist Mary Anne Aytoun Ellis , 56, was commissioned to take part in a project called The Queen's Green Canopy .

This project has encouraged Brits to 'plant a tree for the Jubilee', with households, Scout and Girl Guides, counties schools and businesses all taking part.
