The boss of JP Morgan has warned Chancellor John Healey against raising taxes on bank earnings, as the Government prepares its autumn Budget for October, reports suggest.
Jamie Dimon told Mr Healey in a phone call that higher taxes can result in jobs being driven elsewhere, citing a decline in finance roles in New York that he partly blamed on the city’s tax burden, according to the Financial Times.
