Joy Taylor defends Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, says he’s unfairly criticized

The Baltimore Ravens are set to have quarterback Lamar Jackson enter Year 7 in the NFL. He has started in all but the first half of his rookie year, with plenty of accolades and statistics to show how good of a player he’s turned into.

When recently asked about Jackson and if he’s unfairly criticized, Joy Taylor on “Speak” agreed with the notion. She said people hadn’t learned how to account for rushing quarterbacks in evaluating the decision despite seeing them for a long time before Jackson entered the league.

It seems Jackson’s criticisms are amplified while his successes are sometimes suppressed. While he certainly still has things to work on as a player, it feels as if he’s punished for being able to run the football effectively while also throwing it well.
