A Twynholm couple celebrated 60 years of happiness on March 2.
Len and June Dinnell opened up their doors to friends and family to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.
The couple originally met through sport as Len was a footballer and June’s brother played for St Cuthbert Wanderers. They married at Borgue Parish Church on March 2, 1962 and then had the reception down the hill at the village hall.
They lived in Glengap near Twynholm for 37 years. Len worked in the forestry while June worked at Presto in Kirkcudbright.
Since retirement, they have spent the last 27 years living in Twynholm.
Len, 86, and June, who is almost 80, have two daughters and one son and another son who has sadly died. They also have seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. They had a lovely time would like to thank family and friends for all the good wishes, cards and gifts they received.
