Jota to Celtic transfer 'set to be announced' as timeline for move from Benfica revealed

Jota is on the verge of completing a permanent move to Celtic, according to reports.

The attacker quickly established himself as a fan favourite and a key man under Ange Postecoglou after his summer loan move from Benfica.

A £6.5million fee was inserted in the original deal to make the move a full-time stay.

And now Portuguese outlet Record state a final resolution for a switch to Celtic is incoming after the winger returns from holiday.

They say an announcement is expected this week as the summer transfer business at Parkhead continues ahead of a crack at Europe's elite in the Champions League.

His permanent capture would come as a major boost with Cameron Carter-Vickers already committing his long-term future to the Hoops.

The Tottenham loanee, like Jota, hugely impressed last season and has now put pen to paper on a long-term deal in Glasgow.

Jota netted 13 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions last season as Celtic recaptured the Premiership title from Rangers and lifted the Premier Sports Cup.
