Ange Postegoclou is confident Josip Juranovic will be fit to face Bodo/Glimt next week.
The Celtic boss revealed the Croatia defender missed out Wednesday’s win at Aberdeen due to illness.
Juranovic – who was a star turn in last week’s win against Rangers – could be available to face Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup on Sunday.
But Postecoglou is set to wrap the full back in cotton wool ahead of the Europa Conference League clash with the Norwegians at Parkhead on Thursday.
The manager said: “He's got an illness. He’ll be back at the weekend, hopefully, and if not he will definitely be back for the midweek fixture next week.”
Juranovic has been a smash hit since his £2.5m signing from Legia Warsaw last summer.
The 26-year-old has excelled in a number of roles, filling in at left back before nailing down the berth on the other flank.
His performance against Rangers received rave reviews with European transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claiming former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is keeping tabs on the full back with a view to snapping him up for Leicester City for around £15m at the end of the season.
