Josip Juranovic issues defiant Union Berlin challenge as former Celtic star responds to 'incredulous' poser

Josip Juranovic has stood up for new club Union Berlin while laying down a challenge to any side they face.

The Croatian right-back sealed a move away from Celtic last month with a package worth around £10million to the Scottish champions coming with the transfer fee to the Bundesliga side. Union are on sizzling form in Germany's top flight and have a taste of Europa League action - a competition Juranovic fared well in for Celtic - for the first time in years.

Thursday's 0-0 draw with Ajax had an Old Firm flavour to it with former Rangers defender Calvin Bassey in action for the Amsterdam side. And while Die Eisernen couldn't find a winner against the Dutch giants, Juranovic defended recent performances that included big wins over rivals Hertha and a huge victory away to RB Leipzig.
