Josh Taylor believes Jack Catterall has made a mistake if he has paid too much attention to the Scot's clash against Regis Prograis to prepare for his undisputed challenge.
The pair will meet in Glasgow this weekend as Catterall looks to produce an upset and snatch Taylor's undisputed super-lightweight crown.
Both Taylor and Catterall have spoken at length regarding their tactical plans for the domestic clash, with both men willing to either engage in a dog-fight or try to outbox each other.
However Taylor believes studying his previous southpaw clash could be a mistake and has admitted he now has new levels of self-discipline since his undisputed title victory.
"I just don't know how he is going to win," Taylor said at the press conference ahead of the fight. "I feel like he is going to try and walk me on to a big shot.
"I think I know what he is doing, I feel like he has been watching me and my previous fight against Regis Prograis, the last southpaw I boxed. I fought with emotion and my head due to personal circumstances.
"So I think I know they are going to try and base their work on me from that fight like tactically and that is not enough. I am nice and relaxed, it has been a long two years for everyone.
"I'm enjoying this I have been starved of it for two years, this is the way big fights should be and I am enjoying it."
Taylor outpointed Prograis in 2019 to become the unified world champion but his preparations were affected by the passing of his fiancee's father.
He has since gone on to defeat Apinun Khongsong with an explosive stoppage victory behind-closed-doors before securing all of the marbles with his victory over Jose Ramirez.

Catterall stepped aside to allow the undisputed clash to take place and has also had a frustrating time having fought just once since a routine win over Abderrazak Houya in 2019.
However now he believes he has the key to capitalise on his long-awaited title shot and believes his long and hard analysis of Taylor's fighting style could be crucial.
"It has come ten fold, I was mandatory for the WBO title and after waiting two years I have a chance now to capture the undisputed," Catterall said.
"I have not come up here to just make up the numbers I have been working hard in the gym continuously for the last eighteen months for this opportunity.
"I know what I am capable of and I know how hard I have prepared and I take confidence from this work I have put in. I have certainly done everything in my capability to be unsettled so we will see on Saturday night."
