Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett has waded in on the Downing Street controversy and Boris Johnson's actions during lockdown.
The 43-year-old star appeared on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain to chat to hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls about his new TV show, but Susanna couldn't resist talking politics.
"Good to see you this morning, how are you doing?" mother-of-three Susanna began the interview after a clip of The Fear Index was shown.
"Good morning Susanna and Ed, I'm good, I'm well," Josh replied, before adding: "From one very intense subject to another I guess!"
"Yes! Tell us, have you been gripped by what's happening at the top of government? Do you think they should be afraid?" Susanna quickly asked him.
"How could you not be? It's all that's on the news!" Josh replied.
"Of course they should be afraid, this doesn't look good. People were having a very difficult time at that time, it's hard to believe that they were living it up," he added.
"Yeah, it has sort of appalled and shocked everybody," Susanna replied.
"But of course we were all told yesterday in the Commons that we all have to move on so let's move on," Susanna said as she asked the actor about his new series.
Ed was left stunned when father-of-three Josh admitted that he hasn't actually watched any of The Fear Index yet.
"Haven't you seen it yet, Josh? You must have seen it!" Ed remarked, as Josh went on to explain why he hasn't.
"I don't mean to come in unprepared for this interview, but I'm working on something else and I don't want to watch something and only see the problems, and that's what I do when I see my own work," he told Ed and Susanna.
"I think if I watch something I did last year all I can see is what I hoped it would be as opposed to what it is, and I don't think that's gonna help me in the work I'm doing right now.
"So I'm gonna take a step back and I'll take your recommendation when I'm free and have finished this project Im working on," he added.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV Hub.
