Josh Carr is well placed to become Port Adelaide's next senior coach after rejoining the AFL club as a senior assistant.

Carr, who split his playing career between Fremantle and Port Adelaide, will become coach Ken Hinkley's right-hand man in 2023 after leaving his assistant's post at the Dockers.
