Hibernian midfielder Josh Campbell was stretchered off during the Edinburgh derby after colliding with his own team-mate Dylan Levitt.
The 23-year-old signalled to the bench immediately after the incident.
He was replaced by forward Élie Youan.
Prior to kick-off it was announced Nick Montgomery would no longer be mic'd up for the fixture after the Scottish Football Association stepped in to scrap the idea.
The Easter Road boss had agreed to fans watching on Sky Sports at home to hear him throughout the fixture after Hibs agreed to a request from the broadcaster.
It would have been a first in Scottish football along with Montgomery's assistant Sergio Raimundo wearing a body cam.
However, the SFA later denied blocking the approach.
A statement read: "Contrary to reports and commentary ahead of tonight’s Edinburgh Derby, the Scottish FA did not block the use of communication equipment or cameras as part of the matchday broadcast.
“Upon learning of the plans via a media release, we asked IFAB on behalf of the clubs, league and broadcaster and were informed on Christmas Eve that the intended use was not allowed within Law 4, which states that the use of electronic communication by team staff is permitted only when it relates to player safety and wellbeing, or for tactical or coaching reasons.
“We immediately relayed this confirmation from IFAB to the relevant parties.”
