Legacy Motor Club has officially announced Josh Berry as the driver of its No. 42 Toyota for the 2027 NASCAR Cup season. He will join Erik Jones (No. 43) and Riley Herbst (No. 84) as teammates next year. With Herbst, they are expanding into three full-time entries, and the team is parting ways with John Hunter Nemechek, confirming his exit last week.
"Legacy Motor Club is an organization that clearly has a vision for where they want to go, and I want to be part of that," said Berry in a release from the team. "I've had a chance to see this team up close and I know what they're capable of. The way Jimmie [Johnson] has built this place — the people, the culture, the direction — it's exactly the kind of environment I want to compete in."
