Wazzzzup! I missed a lot of 1990s culture. Never had a Tamagotchi, played Tekken or listened to the Backstreet Boys. Didn’t care for Seinfeld and found Pokémon and the Goosebumps books a little sickening.
But I wasn’t a complete societal defector: I loved Friends, Biggie, David Beckham and Nirvana and had an enormous collection of Pogs. Bernard’s Watch was a big deal, so too Britney Spears, baggy Adidas tracksuits and No Fear hoodies. And oh, the Pizza Hut buffet.
