Jose Mourinho takes another swipe at Tottenham and Daniel Levy with cup final claim

Jose Mourinho has taken a second swipe in the last week at his former employers Tottenham ahead of his second consecutive European final with AS Roma on Wednesday evening. Just last week Mourinho unleashed a relentless barrage on Tottenham and Levy where he explained why out of all his old clubs he holds no feelings for Spurs.

"I hope the Tottenham fans don't get me wrong but the only club in my career where I don't still have a big feeling, is Tottenham," he started.

"Probably because the stadium is empty, Covid time. Probably because Mr Levy didn't let me win a final, win the trophy. That is the only one. After that, Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Manchester United. All the clubs I feel a connection."

He added: "Maybe you cannot love every club. Yes, I love every club, I love every club because I always felt the other way around they also love me. So with Roma, one day will be hard, it will be hard, it will be hard but we will be connected forever like I am with all my previous clubs apart from Mr Levy's club."

Following his dismissal, Mourinho was appointed by Roma and guided them to the Europa Conference League title during his first season in charge. Their Serie A finish and final victory handed them a place in this campaign's Europa League where Mourinho again has once again been able to guide his team to the final against Sevilla in Budapest.

Ahead of the game, Mourinho was asked about his comment from six days ago about his relationship with Spurs with another message for Levy. "Roma didn't sack me before the final in Tirana and at Tottenham they sacked me before the final at Wembley," he replied. "Roma gave me the chance to win the final and at Tottenham I had no chance."
