Jose Enrique makes 'crazy' Newcastle claim before 'very tough' Liverpool clash

Jose Enrique believes Liverpool will come through a 'very, very tough' game at St. James' Park with all three points. Newcastle head into the tie knowing they can play a huge say in where the Premier League title ends up.

Manchester City are still a point ahead of Jurgen Klopp's side heading into the business end of the campaign. Eddie Howe's side have won their last four games on the bounce, leaving them with a real chance of finishing the season in the top-half of the Premier League.

The Toon face a tough run of fixtures, against Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal before ending the season at Turf Moor. Enrique has heaped praise on the Magpies, claiming it's 'Crazy' that they're closing in on a top-half finish given their start to the campaign.

Speaking to Lord Ping, Enrique said: "It’s going to be a very difficult game for both sides. Newcastle are chasing top 10, which is crazy considering their situation in January before Eddie signed the players he wanted with more to come in the summer.

"I think football is about the mentality of players, as well as their ability and physical attributes, and at the moment Newcastle believe in themselves a lot so it's going to be a very, very tough game for Liverpool.

"I don't think there'll be many goals, I hope Liverpool get the three points and I think Liverpool will win 2-1. Newcastle are playing with confidence but Liverpool are where they are, they're one of the best teams in the world so I think they'll win.”
