Jordyn Brooks excited about ‘new feel’ of Seahawks culture

The Seattle Seahawks returned to the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Tuesday for the start of the team’s voluntary offseason workout program.

“There’s a lot of excitement,” linebacker Jordyn Brooks told Seahawks.com of his first day back at the training facility. “It’s just a new feel – a lot of change has been made this offseason. It looks like a young team, so there’s a lot of excitement about the youth right now. So we’re just trying to put our best foot forward this offseason and let it transition into training camp.”

For many players, this marks the first time they will be playing without standout starters Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner to lend a veteran presence. Still, Brooks was able to get a glimpse of things to come this year and he’s hopeful for the season.

“It’s a winning culture here,” he continued. “It’s something you really have to experience, but the culture here since I’ve gotten here has always been a winning culture. Everything we do, we compete. Whether that’s in the meetings, the locker room, the field, wherever, we compete. So as long as we have that foundation, we’re going to be all right. We have a lot of young players, and I’m excited about the future.”
