Jordan's Foreign Minister has emphasized the importance of preventing a spillover conflict in the Middle East following Iran's recent attack on Israel. The Minister highlighted the need for all parties involved to prioritize the rights of Palestinians in Gaza and the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

In response to the interception of Iranian drones over Jordanian airspace, the country summoned Iran's ambassador and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding its territory from any potential threats, regardless of the source.

The Foreign Minister stated that Jordan's policy remains consistent in addressing any incursions into its airspace that pose a danger, emphasizing the country's determination to neutralize such threats.

Regarding the Iranian attack, the Minister indicated that the possibility of retaliation was widely known, underscoring Jordan's desire to avoid further escalation and maintain regional stability.

Expressing concern over the escalating tensions, the Minister warned of the potential for increased destabilization if the conflicts in Gaza and the West Bank persist. He called for a resolution that would secure the legitimate rights of Palestinians, emphasizing the importance of working towards a two-state solution once the current hostilities cease.

In conclusion, Jordan reaffirmed its commitment to peace and stability in the region, emphasizing the need for all parties to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy to address the underlying issues and prevent further conflict.
