The Wizards are the most tragicomic team in the NBA this season. At 4–21, they aren’t quite as bad as the Pistons (who have lost 23 games in a row), but they also have had a knack for doing the most incomprehensible things. For example, last week, Kyle Kuzma failed spectacularly at throwing the ball off the backboard to himself. A few weeks before that, Jordan Poole tried to taunt an opponent by staring him down and then paid the price for his hubris when his shot was ruthlessly blocked.
Those are just two examples, but that sort of thing happens all the time with the Wizards. The latest instance came on Sunday night, courtesy of Poole again. In the third quarter of Washington’s game against the Suns, Poole shot a three-pointer that was contested by Kevin Durant. KD barely touched Poole, but that didn’t stop the shooter from flopping to the ground in an attempt to draw a foul.
It was a cynical attempt by Poole to steal a couple easy points, but it didn’t work—and he immediately found himself feeling some karmic retribution. After a quick turnover, Poole had the ball back in his hands. He attempted a crossover at the top of the arc but crumpled to the floor in hilarious fashion as a result of slipping on his own sweat left over from his flop attempt.
Jordan Poole flopped to try sell a foul call & then proceeded to slip on a wet spot that he created himself 5 seconds earlier.

Here it is from a closer angle.
Nothing in the Wizards' playbook instructs Jordan Poole to do this pic.twitter.com/eHFbuac5FT

The other thing to notice about that clip is the score. The Wizards were leading 77–64 at the time. They went on to blow that lead and lose, 112–108.
