Jordan Pickford offers Nick Pope praise with England training camp insight

Jordan Pickford says the level of goalkeeping within the England camp is 'really high' at the World Cup. The Everton goalkeeper has played all four of England's games in Qatar so far, but has Newcastle shot-stopper Nick Pope and Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale for competition.

Although Pope and Ramsdale currently lead the race for the Premier League golden glove with seven clean sheets each, Pickford has retained his place as England's number one.

Pickford has kept three straight clean sheets for the Three Lions, but insists that the goalkeeping union have helped push each other to increase performance levels.

“Me, Popey and Rammers work well together,” Pickford revealed in an interview on England's official YouTube channel. “But we never have a day off. Every time we train, we train properly. We work our nuts off every single day.
