England goalkeeper believes Callum Wilson is more than capable of stepping up to fill the void of Harry Kane if the Three Lions skipper misses out through injury. The Spurs striker is set for a scan on an ankle injury picked up in the 6-2 win over Iran.
It means Newcastle United striker, Wilson, could be in line to start against the US in the second game of Group B. The Magpies striker enjoyed a 15 minute cameo in the first game of the group, setting up Jack Grealish for England's sixth.
Former Sunderland goalkeeper Pickford believes Wilson played well in that substitute appearance and although Kane was back on the training pitch today, says England have enough quality to replace him if it were needed.

Pickford said: "Yeah I think he's good. He's probably a little bit sore but he was out on the grass with us today so that's good. He's our captain and I think he's fine."
"I think everyone will take their chance. I think when Harry Kane came off, at about 70 minutes Callum come on and played really well, got the assist for Jack.
"He was very unselfish and gave Jack his goal. Everyone is training really hard and everyone's here for a reason, to play football, but yeah, Harry is an unbelievable player.
"He sets the example in the squad. He's a leader, the captain and we all look up to him, but yeah, there's also opportunities for other lads as well."
