The highly anticipated first drive of the Jordan Love era ended with Love finding Romeo Doubs for a touchdown pass that gave the Green Bay Packers a quick 7-0 lead over the Chicago Bears in the first quarter of Sunday’s season opener.
On the scoring play, Love bought time in the pocket and found Doubs in the back of the end zone for the passing touchdown on 3rd-and-goal.
Overall, Love completed 2-of-4 passes for 21 yards and the 8-yard touchdown pass to Doubs on the drive. He also hit Doubs for a 13-yard completion to convert on third down earlier in the march.
The Packers’ first possession began after the defense stopped Justin Fields and the Bears on fourth down.
The 11-play, 40-yard drive took up five minutes of game clock in the first quarter.
In the run game, Aaron Jones rushed five times for 24 yards.
