Jordan Love and Dontayvion Wicks connect to give Packers first half lead over Bears

Jordan Love and Dontayvion Wicks combined for a touchdown pass that gave the Green Bay Packers a first-half advantage over the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Lambeau Field.

The Packers lead 7-6 over 30 minutes of play in the regular season finale.

On the scoring play, Love bought time on 3rd-and-1 and found Wicks on a fadeaway throw for a 10-yard touchdown with 7:20 left in the second quarter. The drive traveled 92 yards over 11 plays. Love completed six passes on the march, including a 32-yarder to Jayden Reed.

Here’s the touchdown from Love to Wicks:

The Bears got a pair of field goals from Cairo Santos over two possessions. The Packers defense gave up 101 yards but also delivered three sacks and seven tackles for loss.

Love completed 15 of 19 passes for 150 yards and the touchdown. The Packers have 200 total yards, but a dropped touchdown, a missed field goal and a failed scenario late in the first half cost the Packers at least six points and as many as 10 points.

Matt LaFleur’s team needs to beat the Bears to clinch a playoff spot in the NFC. They’ll go into the second half at Lambeau Field with the slimmest of leads.
