Liverpool skipper and England midfielder, Jordan Henderson was in Liverpool to surprise siblings Olivia and Alfie with a kick-about at their local Fun Football session. The Liverpool hero was on hand to show attendees his skills, pass on advice and pose for photos with the young budding footballers.
This Autumn McDonald’s will provide Free Fun Football sessions to over 30,000 children aged 5-11 of all abilities across England. Since its re-launch in May, the Fun Football programme has continued to grow, including a 60% increase in girls signing up following an exciting summer for the Lionesses, as more children than ever are inspired to play the beautiful game.
As a result, McDonald’s has added additional locations this Autumn to ensure more children than ever before have the opportunity to play. Over 17,000 hours of Free Fun Football will be made available across more than 200 centres – including 17 new locations opening across the country to reduce the distance that children and parents have to travel to attend the free sessions.

Henderson said: “I am a firm believer that football should be for all no matter their ability. That’s why I’m so proud to support the Fun Football Programme that will bring 30,000 children free football coaching this Autumn alone.
Having free football at this time is something that I know a lot of parents with be grateful for. These sessions aren’t about finding the next England superstar, they are all about having fun and enjoying yourself.”
