Jordan Henderson has been backed to continue in a key role in the Liverpool midfield by former Reds midfielder Charlie Adam.
The 32-year-old has been at Liverpool since his transfer from Sunderland back in 2011 and has now gone on to make over 500 appearances - lifting every major honour in the process.
Henderson has been the captain of the Reds since Steven Gerrard left the club in 2015 and has gone on to play a huge role in Liverpool's success under Jurgen Klopp.

However, Henderson's role has been questioned somewhat this season after the Reds have slipped down the Premier League table into sixth place with Champions League qualification looking unlikely.
Klopp will be leading the Reds through a summer rebuild, especially in midfield, but former Scotland international Adam thinks Henderson will continue to play a key role.
Speaking to Mirror Football on behalf of the EFL’s Together - Supporting Communities initiative, Adam backed his former team-mate: "Over the years, he’s progressed to become a leader and a vocal voice in the Premier League – in terms of what he’s done through the pandemic and what he’s done for his country. It’s been unbelievable.
"Whoever replaced Steven Gerrard as captain was always going to be difficult, but you can do it in different ways. I think Jordan has led Liverpool extremely well; I think he’s been a real leader and captain. He’s a lad who’s put everything into his career. He’s been dedicated for a number of years, and he’s been rewarded with such a wonderful career.
"But I don’t believe he’s stopping. I think he’s still got a lot [of time] to go and still got a lot to give to Liverpool. He’s been magnificent… the longer he stays at Liverpool, the more success they will have."
