Jordan Henderson injury latest as England star taken to hospital after freak accident during celebrations

Jordan Henderson was taken to hospital with a “serious” wrist injury sustained in freak fashion following England’s 3-2 win over Mexico at the World Cup.

Standard Sport understands that Henderson stayed in Mexico City with a member of England’s medical staff overnight and did not travel back with the rest of the squad to their tournament base in Kansas City after the Three Lions dramatically secured their spot in the quarter-finals, where Norway await.
