Jordan Addison posted a cryptic Instagram story seemingly about his lack of Vikings production

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison posted a cryptic Instagram story overnight that sure seemed to be about his role in the team’s offense.

The Instagram story in question featured a picture of Addison with the caption “free 3” on it, hinting that he wants the ball much more than he’s currently getting it in the Vikings offense.

Of course, Vikings superstar receiver Justin Jefferson gets a bulk of the targets in Minnesota’s offense. Addison has 231 yards and a touchdown this season on 14 catches compared to Jefferson’s 646 yards and five touchdowns on 41 catches, showing the gap between the two wideouts.

Addison’s role in the offense is roughly on the same level as receiver Jalen Nailor, who has 229 yards and three touchdowns on 14 catches.

The big difference is Addison has only played in five games this season because of injury compared to Jefferson and Nailor playing in seven.

We’re not sure exactly how deep Addison’s sentiment goes with his post, if he’s actually disgruntled with his role in the offense or if he’s just trying to hype his talents up compared to his 2024 stat line.

However, the second-year wideout’s role going forward with the Vikings is at least worth monitoring for the meantime.
