Jonathan Ross shocked Loose Women star Kaye Adams when he revealed the awkward encounter that saw his age hit him for the first time. The telly star recalled the moment with Kaye on her How To Be 60 podcast alongside her co-host Karen MacKenzie.
He explained how a "while ago" he was dropping his daughter off at a doctor's appointment and decided to wait for her in the car. He soon became distracted by a beautiful young girl.
The 61-year-old, who hosts his own ITV chat show, continued: "She looked over at me and she saw me looking. And she sort of smiled at me. And I thought, 'I've still got it'. Then she walked to the car, and I thought, man, I must be looking good today. I thought maybe she recognised me from TV.

"But now she looked at me and she went 'you used to go out with my mum.'" He went on: "I remember when I was dating this woman back in the early 80s. She was a single mum and she had a young girl who was asleep in the other room while we were... Oh my God. And so that was an amazing reality check for me!"
As well as Jonathan’s experiences of growing older, they also discussed whether he dyes his hair or not, a subject that is surprisingly irritating to him. The presenter said aging is "not something that I'm particularly thrilled about," before adding: "And I'm very lucky that, you know, as you mentioned, I still do have my hair, I don't dye it although I kind of wish I did because it's so irritating, because everyone assumes that I do and assumes that I'm lying about it, it's very odd, I really couldn't care less.
"I mean, I've got a few bits of grey and it will go grey eventually. And if it goes to the nice grey, I think I'll welcome it. But there are different shades of grey, you know, there are some that I like and some guys you look at think, 'Oh, that looks like someone's peed on your head.' You know, so I don't want to go in that direction."
Jonathan continued: "I dress the way I want. I never care how people think about the way I dress. If I want to dress something which people think looks too young for me or strange in some way. I'll wear it anyway, if I want to wear it. And I'll do the things I want to do. So I'll go places that might otherwise be considered, you know, like a young person's terrain. Like I'll go and see a gig if I want to say, a gig if it's for young people, and not worry about the fact that I am clearly the oldest person in the room."
Last month Jonathan cut a bold figure in an eye-catching Gucci tracksuit as he was spotted milling around MediaCity. The chat show host dazzled in designer wear as he stepped out in Salford, strolling along with a vibrant green bag alongside co-stars Alan Carr and Jimmy Car
