Jonathan Kuminga had glowing words about Steph Curry during a recent interview on 947 Joburg. The Golden State Warriors forward was asked about the superstar guard and gave a stunning account of the person Curry is off the court. When most people think of Curry, they instantly picture the deep 3s, game-winning buckets, and relentless movement.
It’s easy to forget NBA players are human beings, too. Perhaps that’s why Kuminga felt it necessary to enlighten the world about what an amazing person his teammate truly is. During the interview, Kuminga noted how Curry would create a conversation, even if you don’t feel like talking.

He don’t get into any problem. He speak to everybody. He’s gonna start a conversation even if you don’t want to. He’s gonna come find you and talk to you. So, that’s a lot of things that people don’t see behind the scenes. Because all they see is him hitting threes and stuff like that. He is the best human being I ever really been around.”

Curry’s leadership qualities are a big reason the Warriors have been so successful over the last decade. The veteran guard leads by example and has helped transform the franchise since being drafted in 2009. Kuminga has some exceptional veteran leadership around him, which is why he’s expected to take another leap in the upcoming season.
