Jon Jones challenged by MMA fighter with no legs after UFC heavyweight title win

Jon Jones was challenged to a push-up competition by an MMA fighter with no legs just moments after winning the UFC heavyweight title.

UFC legend Jones, 35, hadn't fought in over three years but made a flawless return to the octagon by choking out Ciryl just over two minutes into their vacant title fight. 'Bones' is now one of the few two-weight champions in UFC history and the consensus greatest fighter of all-time was by no means tired after the fight as he took on legless MMA fighter Zion Clark in a push-up competition backstage.

Jones could be seen greeting Clark and telling him: "I love what you're doing man! You're killing it. I see you, it's a big occasion," Jones said. Man god bless you, keep doing what you're doing. Z, let's go baby! I know you wanna hit that push-up competition. I got some extra in me too."

Jones and Clark then started doing push-ups together, with the former cutting his efforts short after hitting 40 reps. "You look like you're slowing down bro! Let's go, well you can't win all of them," Clark joked. Jones then shook hands with Clark before heading back to his locker room to change into a fancy suit for his post-fight press conference.

Clark is a former college wrestling standout who was born with no legs due to a rare birth disorder called caudal regression syndrome. He spent most of his childhood growing up in foster care, but Clark didn't to let his condition hold him back in any walk of life and become a talented wrestler before acquiring a university scholarship for his skills on the mat.

The 25-year-old made his first-ever MMA appearance against Eugene Murray, who is not disabled, last December as the inspirational wrestler won all three rounds of the fight to have his hand raised by unanimous decision. Clark has previously outlined his intentions of signing with the UFC to fight internet celebrity Hasbulla, who was born with Growth Hormone Deficiency.

Jones already has his next opponent lined up after tapping out Gane as he makes the first defence of his heavyweight title against former champion Stipe Miocic. 'Bones' said of the fight: I'm not only going to beat Stipe Miocic but I will finish him before the championship rounds. I say it respectfully for Stipe, I would take time off from being a firefighter right now."
