Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been left furious after watching Liverpool swoop in for Porto winger Luis Diaz.

It is understood that the Lilywhites submitted an opening proposal of around £37million plus add-ons, which was rebuffed by the Portuguese club.

The acquisition of Diaz would have represented a major coup for Spurs and Antonio Conte as they look to secure a top four finish, but it appears that the Reds are now leading the way in this transfer race.
