JoJo takes to social media after Broadway show cancelled days before her debut

  • Singer JoJo 's Broadway debut in the musical Chess has been cancelled after the production announced its closure.
  • JoJo was scheduled to take over the lead role of Florence Vassy from Lea Michele , with her first performance set for 23 June.
  • However, the show will now close on 21 June, coinciding with Michele's final performance.
  • JoJo, whose full name is Joanna Levesque, expressed her disappointment on Instagram , stating she was 'so bummed'.
  • Lea Michele had reportedly recommended JoJo for the role, which also stars Tony winner Aaron Tveit.
