Supporters have begged Leeds United winger Raphinha to secure a move to Manchester United after he sent a message to former Sporting Lisbon teammate Bruno Fernandes.
The Portugal midfielder posted a video of himself wearing the United number eight jersey, taking on the mantle from Juan Mata. It’s a number he has wanted for a long time, and the pair have exchanged funny social media messages to one another amid Fernandes’ shirt swap.
The Instagram post received thousands of comments from United fans and football followers. A number of fellow professional footballers also left messages, such as Atalanta forward Luis Muriel and Raphinha.

The latter has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer. Barcelona are also said to be interested, so his “now man” comment on Fernandes’ video attracted attention from the Spanish club’s fans.
But the overwhelming majority of responses came from United supporters, who urged the attacker to relocate to Manchester.
