A Johnstone mum has been fined after she breached Covid-19 guidelines and told cops to “get to f**k.”
Disgraced Cheryl Breen, 32, was caught with three people in her house in March last year and when cops told her she was breaching covid guidelines, she gave them a mouthful of abuse.
Procurator fiscal depute Maria Murdoch told Paisley Sheriff Court: “Just after midnight on March 15, police received an anonymous report of a large group of people gathering at North Road and breaching covid guidelines.

“Officers attended at North Road and four people were within the property, one being the householder, who is now known as the accused.
“It was noted all were intoxicated and the other people lived at other addresses.
“When entering the living room, the accused shouted at officers telling them to “get to f**k’ and stating, ‘get yourselves to f**k, you’re allowed two households together, prove you can’t.’
“Officers explained covid guidelines to the accused but she continued to shout and swear.
“She was asked to desist but refused to do so and was subsequently arrested and taken to the police station where she was cautioned and charged.
“The accused replied, ‘You said to me if I swear one more time I’d be under arrest, then I swore and then four of you arrested me.”
Jim Clarke, defence solicitor, told how the mother of a 13-year-old daughter was “morally embarrassed.”
Mr Clarke added: “Taking away the alcohol, this matter would never of happened.
“She is embarrassed and ashamed of the conduct described.”
Sentencing, Sheriff Eoin McGinty said: “Everyone had a difficult time during lockdown, perhaps more so was the police officers who had to enforce these guidelines whether they agreed with them or not.
“I am sure they would have had a lot better things to do on that night that argue with you.
“Their time could have otherwise been engaged with more helpful ways for the community.”
Sheriff McGinty fined Breen £250 reduced from £300 for her plea ahead of her trial and ordered she pays this at the rate of £30 per month.
In addition, a £20 surcharge was added making the total fine £270.
