A carer who was convicted of sexually abusing children has been banned from working in the profession.
Andrew Ward from Johnstone was convicted of the historic attacks at Greenock Sheriff Court in May last year.
It was found that on multiple occasions between November 14, 1986, and November 13, 1988, Ward indecently assaulted a boy aged between 14 and 16 by touching his genitalia under his clothing, carrying out sexual acts on the child, and pushing him.

On car journeys between February 23, 1987 and February 1989, he repeatedly touched a boy between ages nine and 11, rubbed his penis over his clothing, touched his penis, kissed him, and attempted to induce his victim to touch his penis.
On another occasion between December 29, 1992, and December 28, 1994, he got into bed naked with a child and kissed him on the neck and ear, telling him to be quiet.
A hearing of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) outlined that Ward was older than each of the children concerned and in one instance was a legal adult.
A report described his behaviour as "extremely serious and constitutes a gross breach of trust".
It went on: "Your behaviour indicates serious underlying values and attitudinal issues which are not easily remediable. We have no evidence of remediation from you.
"While your behaviour occurred outside of work, it is so serious that it would negatively affect the reputation of the social service profession."
They concluded that his behaviour amounted to a pattern of conduct over a significant period of time.
Ward has been struck off by the watchdog and will no longer be able to work in the profession.
