Johnny Depp has showcased his acting talents throughout the years in hit films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Edward Scissorhands.
But he took it to a whole new level in his first production back since his defamation case against Amber Heard last year.
Taking to the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday (May 16), the 59-year-old was on hand to show off his French skills in his performance in Jeanne du Barry.
The Hollywood star portrays King Louis XV in the French feature film which looks into a love story between the monarch and a prostitute.
The scandalous period drama film by Maïwenn marks his official comeback to Hollywood. And fans were suitably impressed by his ability to speak the language of love for the role.
It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, however, with the actor having been the owner of a quaint village in the south of France.
Aside from his notable acting skills and now boastful multilingual talents, Johnny is also a keen musician.
His talents on a guitar became more public knowledge in the months that followed his court appearance as he took to the stage with close pal Jeff Beck.
He surprised UK fans at a number of gigs as he performed on stage with guitar in hand and a microphone at the ready.
Jeff first invited his Hollywood icon on stage as a jury began deliberating their verdict in the actor's defamation case against his former spouse over in America.
Johnny's surprise appearance led to loud cheers from the crowds at the gigs, with many of the audience members delighted to see him.
Johnny and Jeff released a rock album together in July last year before Jeff's untimely death in January this year.
Keeping the creative juices flowing, the City of Lies star is also a fond artist. In 2020, he displayed his art skills after eventually completing a large painting of a wine bottle, which was 14 years in the making.
Sharing the design to his Instagram at the time, he said: "I found this painting, which I had started in 2006 … for 14 years I’d never touched the painting – the occasional glance, at best. Yet it somehow always lingered in my mind, this piece of unfinished business."
The impressive painting showed a bottle sitting on a table top in front of a stone wall while cloudy blue skies complete the backdrop.
