Johnny Depp fans swarm Glasgow Royal Concert Hall door in bid to spot Hollywood star

Johnny Depp fans have blocked off part of a Glasgow road as they anxiously await the arrival of the Hollywood star, ahead of his performance at the Royal Concert Hall.

A photo posted by a fan on Twitter shows hoards of people clustered together on West Nile Street, outside the stage door of the the city's esteemed venue.

The icon is due to perform there on Friday evening with with pal Jeff Beck.

The tweet read: " A crowd forming at concert Hall in Glasgow to try and catch a glimpse of Johnny Depp, who will be performing with Jeff Beck tonight. #JusticeForJohnny."

Fans can be seen with mobile phone cameras at the ready, hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor arriving with his entourage for a soundcheck ahead of the gig.

Glasgow Live previously reported that the star was spotted being swarmed by fans as he left the city centre's Dakota Hotel.

The photo, shared by a fan on social media, shows Johnny waving to an adoring crowd as he left the plush hotel.

The performer won a defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard earlier this week.

Johnny will appear at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall on Friday, June 3 as part of pal Jeff Beck's UK tour. Tickets are now sold out for this Scottish date.
