John Travolta’s Saturday Night Fever suit to fetch up to $400k at auction

• John Travolta 's iconic white suit from Saturday Night Fever is expected to fetch up to $400,000 (£300,000) at an upcoming auction.
• The instantly recognisable three-piece ensemble, which includes a handwritten inscription from Travolta, will lead Propstore’s Summer Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction in Los Angeles.
• The four-day live sale, scheduled from 26 to 29 August, features over 1,700 lots of film and television memorabilia.
• The entire collection of memorabilia has a combined pre-sale estimate of $10 million (£7 million).
• Other notable items up for auction include Frank the Rabbit’s costume from Donnie Darko , the screen-matched mosquito in amber fossil from Jurassic Park , and an original Golden Snitch from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone .
