John Travolta has shared a moving tribute to his late Grease co-star Olivia Newton-John.
The actor joined actress Barbra Streisand, fellow Aussies Kylie Minogue and Rebel Wilson and a whole host of other celebrities mourning Olivia's passing on social media this evening.
Referencing their characters from the 1978 hit musical film, John paid tribute to Olivia's incredible impact and pledged to see her "down the road".
Olivia's husband John Easterling announced the sad news of her death as he shared a statement via Olivia's Facebook page earlier today.
The actress, who played Sandy in the hit musical movie Grease, passed away at her ranch in Southern California this morning [Monday August 8].
Taking to Instagram within minutes of Olivia's death becoming public news, John shared a snap of the late star to share his tribute with his followers.
"My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible," John wrote.
"I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the moment I saw you and forever!
"Your Danny, your John!"
Olivia's death comes just two years on from the actress and former co-star John reuniting to pay homage to their famous Grease characters - something which sent fans wild with nostalgia.
The Hollywood legends looked hopeless devoted to each other as they once again took on the roles of Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson for a movie sing-along in December 2019.
The duo were at a "Meet 'N Grease" movie sing-along event at the Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach.
Posting a photo to her Instagram page at the time, Olivia said: "First time in costume since we made the movie! So excited!!".
John isn't the only celebrity to pay tribute to Olivia on social media in the wake of her heartbreaking death.
Barbra Streisand - a long-time friend of the late star - took to Instagram to share a throwback of herself and Olivia and write: "Too young to leave this world. May she RIP. [sad emojis] #OliviaNewtonJohn."
American presenter Andy Cohen shared a video of Olivia singing one of her iconic hits on Instagram.
"Hopelessly Devoted to YOU, Olivia Newton John," Andy captioned the clip of the actress. "Rest In Peace, Queen. Thank you for the music."
Fellow Aussie Kylie Minogue took to her Instagram page to share a black-and-white snap of herself and Olivia, writing: "Since I was ten years old, I have loved and looked up to Olivia Newton John. And, I always will. (Just like this picture @nfsaonline)
"She was, and always will be, an inspiration to me in so many, many ways. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. x ONJ4EVER @therealonj."
Bring It On actress Gabrielle Union wrote on Twitter: "Grease is my #1 movie of all time and made me a lifelong Olivia Newton John fan. Me and my sister watched Xanadu more times than I could count.
"Sending so much love and prayers to a real gift of a woman and talent. #RIPOliviaNewtonJohn."
Oscar winner Viola Davis shared an article confirming Olivia's death on Twitter and added: "Oh man!!! You were my childhood!! Your talent, poise, beauty!! Rest in glorious peace. God bless your family....and thank you for creating eternal memories."
Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan shared a snap of himself and Olivia with his Twitter followers, as he wrote: "So sad to hear the fabulously gutsy, warm & talented Olivia Newton-John has died.
"At an auction of her Grease memorabilia in LA three years ago, she told me her favourite song from the movie was Hopelessly Devoted To You.
"Great song, great film, great lady. RIP."
"We have lost a great, iconic artist in Olivia Newton John, gone too soon from us at age 73," Star Trek actor George Takei wrote on Twitter minutes after Olivia's death was announced.
He added: "I trust she is now in the great Xanadu beyond. Know that we are forever hopelessly devoted to you, Olivia. Rest in song and mirth."
Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn also mourned Olivia's passing on Twitter, writing: "Really sad to hear about the passing of Olivia Newton-John. My first real crush as a kid.
"I loved Grease & her music & I coincidentally also bought & lived in for a while the wonderful home she built in Malibu. May she Rest In Peace."
Taking to Twitter shortly after the tragic news broke, RuPaul's Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne was one of the first to pay tribute to the iconic star.
"What a sad day. Olivia Newton John may you rest well Angel x," the drag star wrote in the wake of Olivia's death.
Australians actress Rebel Wilson took to her Instagram Stories to mourn Olivia and dub the late star "a true icon".
Sharing a snap of the Grease star, Rebel wrote: "Love and light ONJ. You were a true icon and I absolutely adored you."
Olivia was seemingly a fan of Rebel too - sharing a snap of the Pitch Perfect star wearing a 'Let's Get Physical' swimsuit on Twitter earlier this year.
"LOVE the bathing suit @RebelWilson you look lovely! #LetsGetPhysical #Physical40th," Olivia gushed online in January, amid the 40th anniversary of her iconic hit single.
Olivia's husband John announced her death on Facebook, with a statement which reads: "Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.
"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.
